MY FAVORITE MOVIE

My favorite movie is… Well, one of my favorites, because I love watching movies, and obviously there are a lot of movies that I consider as favorites; I don't have just one film in my list of the best movies. But now I’d like to talk about Cold mountain. It’s a drama love story, and the leading actors are Nicole Kidman(Ada), Jude Law(Inman) and Renée Zellweger(Ruby).

The story is located on the American Civil War, and Inman, who lives in a little town called Cold Mountain, has to go to fight there. But before going he meets Ada, and they both fall in love. And, after Inman is gone, and her father dies, Ada finds herself in a farm which she doesn’t know how to maintain. Fortunately, Ruby appears one day, a hard-working woman who just wants food and a place to sleep in, and offers herself to help Ada with the farm. While these girls are watching how in the town the deserters and people who help them are killed and tortured without mercy, Inman is escaping from the war, desperate to be with Ada. After some hard situations they live, they finally meet again, and Ada and Inman marry. But, unfortunately, the cruel people whose work is to kill the deserters finds Inman, and they kill him.

It’s a sad story, but a very good one, in my opinion. I like a lot the love stories, and that’s one of the reasons why I love this film. And I also like the movies that make me cry, because that means that they’re really good, and that’s the case of Cold Mountain.
